Tideswell

The Cornerhouse is situated in Tideswell village centre, in the heart of The Peak District, between the Dark Peak and White Peak. The surrounding countryside provides opportunities for walking, cycling, mountain biking and rock climbing to name but a few of the vast range of outdoor activites available. Walk directly from the cottage doorstep and simply enjoy the breathtaking scenery and glorious sunsets.

On your doorstep through winding paths are wonderful shops including family run bakery,  butcher and  delicatessens.  Dog friendly local Post Office, pubs and cafés  and a restaurant serving homemade local produce and real ales from surrounding areas, make it easy to enjoy the village during your stay.  You can access walks from Tideswell village centre to experience panoramic Peak District views across Litton Edge and The Limestone Way or  take a stroll through Tideswell Dale within a few minutes from your front door.

Tideswell is a little gem in the countryside, centrally located on main scenic routes through the Peak District National Park, only a short drive or bus journey to the main attractions of Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Buxton, and the cities of Sheffield and Manchester.

The village has an interesting history that can be discovered by visiting the Cathedral of the Peak, the History ‘phone box’, following the Tideswell Hidden histories trail, and talking to the friendly locals of the village.
