Eyam Well dressings

We visited EYAM ,the Plague village to see the beautiful well dressings as part of their Wakes week celebrations. The sun was shining and people bustled along the village streets and in cafes and pubs. Well Dressings are a tradition particular to The Peak District. Much work goes into each well dressing which is made up from leaves and petals onto clay and involves many people in each village over a period of time.
