Approach to The Cornerhouse

 

From the M1 we suggest Junction 29

 

From the M6 we suggest Junction 19 Knutsford

 

This takes you over the Cat & Fiddle road which is not recommended in bad weather – in which case we suggest Stockport & the A6 – see below.

Take the A537 to Macclesfield & then Buxton 

From Buxton, take the A6 for Bakewell. Approx. 3 miles from Buxton take the B6049 for Tideswell & Millers Dale 

You will pass through Millers Dale (under the old railway bridge), Tideswell Dale Picnic Site on the right.

Carry straight on into Tideswell. Do NOT take the right turn for Litton  

Drive into Tideswell Village until you see High Nelly’s Café in a triangle on opposite side of road to the Nat West Bank.

Bear left and drive up High Street, just past The Star pub and bear sharp right here into Pursglove Road.

Drive along here 50 m and park directly outside The Cornerhouse to unload.

Alternatively, bear right round between the Bank and High Nelly’s and carry on towards the pot market where the CO-OP is situated.

Park in the Pot market ( near CO-OP) or on the road outside any of the shops and walk to The Cornerhouse about 100 m along Church Walk (with Church railings on your right). 

The front door of The Cornerhouse is a green stable door surrounded by honeysuckle and roses, with a large No 1 outside. (Large house sign on the wall on the corner by Church gate) 

Please park at the side of The Corner House in Pursglove Road to unload and park your car in free parking spaces at either one of 2 market places.

 

From the M6 via Stockport M60, this is a busier route but in bad weather is safer
