Thank you Bernard and Rob for working with us to create an important part of our new adventure in our lives!
Amazing photography of exterior of house and internal photos of our holiday house The Cornerhouse in Tideswell, taken by Bernard O'Sullivan from Inside Out Photography in Manchester and whom we met through a dogwalker friend in Tideswell. Bernard's photos formed part of our new website www.thecornerhousetideswell.co.uk designed by our son Rob Turton, of RobTurton Design, a final year Furniture and Product Design student at NTU .

We drove over to Monsal Head instead of Buxton to watch Stage 6 of The AVIVA 2015 Tour of Britain cycling race through the Peak District. What a beautiful place to wait for race leaders in the sunshine today. Views from the carpark at Monsal Head looking down over Monsal Trail cycle route which passes close to Tideswell.

Leaders speeding through Monsal Head ... gone in a flash after waiting an h...
We took advantage of the beautiful sunshine today to stroll for a couple of hours directly from The Cornerhouse Tideswell. Walking behind The Horse and Jockey pub to the leafy trail of Tideswell Dale and along to the stunning rock formation of Ravenstor.
No climbers seen today but evidence here in the metal hooks on the steep rockface!
Lucky, our golden retriever, was interested in paddling in the stream along the way to cool off, with ducks waddling off the stones in the shallow stream. Below you can see the leafy walks and sun shining on the water trickling over stones, such a pea...
We visited EYAM ,the Plague village to see the beautiful well dressings as part of their Wakes week celebrations. The sun was shining and people bustled along the village streets and in cafes and pubs. Well Dressings are a tradition particular to The Peak District. Much work goes into each well dressing which is made up from leaves and petals onto clay and involves many people in each village over a period of time.
